Although it is with great sadness that I am announcing the closure of my business, Beads by the Beach, it is also with great pride and appreciation for all the support I have received over the years and the priceless memories I have been blessed with during this time.

In April 2004, Beads by the Beachwas born as a reality of my dreams, to not only own my own business, but to also provide a valuable product and service to the Redcliffe community. For the past 7 and half years, I have had the privilege of working within this community throughout the ups and downs and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences.

The realisation of my dream came true with the help and encouragement of family members and special friends. My family, especially my husband, Dennis and girls, Josie, Megan and Erynne, went through all the growing pains and have been very understanding to enable me to realise my dream.  The girls were often seen helping me out during shop hours, as well as many long hours after the doors were locked. A special mention must be made to my mum and dad, Rosemary and Jack, who have been with me every step of the way – with every new shelf/change that was needed (and there has been a few), with hours of helping out counting/bagging and behind the counter – not to mention a show or two. My very good friend Antonia has also been with me since the shop’s inception with unquestionable support – for that I am forever grateful. As many would know, the shop has frequently been under the supervision and guidance of the beading guru herself, Nina, and realistically, Beads by the Beachcould not have been the success it became without her talent and ‘personality’. I would like to extend my eternal thanks to Nina for all of her hard work and dedication to keeping my dream alive.

As the proud owner and operator of Beads by the Beach, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every customer, supplier, staff member and member of the community who has supported me and my business over the years. Although the doors of Beads by the Beach(as we know it) will close for the final time on 24 December 2011, there will still be an online presence with www.beadsbythebeach.com.auand many community projects.
