The Dream
With four females in our family and the never ending 'need' to have the perfect matching jewellery, together with the dream to have my own shop - I started on my beading journey!
The Story My name is Debbie Grealy and I am married with three daughters and we have recently had a "green change"and have moved to a 3 acre block of bush! We miss the water but we love the serenity.
The Journey I used to take my girls to a lovely bead shop at the Adelaide Markets and with this influence, encouragement from that shop's owner, and some further research - I opened Beads by the Beach.
The Help
The realisation of my dream came true with the help and encouragement of family members and special friends.My family, especially my husband, Dennis and girls, Josie, Megan and Erynne, have been through all the growing pains and have been very understanding to enable me to realise my dream.The girls can often be seen helping me out during shop hours, as well as many long hours after the doors are locked.A special mention must be made to my mum and dad, Rosemary and Jack, who have been with me every step of the way – with every new shelf/change that was needed (and there has been a few), with hours of helping out counting/bagging and behind the counter - not to mention a show or two.My very good friend Antonia has also been with me since the shop’s inception with unquestionable support – for that I am forever grateful.
The Staff
I have a fabulous team of dedicated staff who are as important to Beads by the Beach as the beads!Nina – our resident "Doctor of Beadology" - teacher/beading guru, Karen – Saturday Kids Class teacher and ever patient Birthday hostess, our Saturday junior - Savannah, and of course my three girls Josie, Megan and Erynne who 'step in' when needed and also help out in the background.
The Shop
At Beads by the Beach, we pride ourselves in friendly, good old-fashioned customer service and we are prepared to go the extra mile for our customers' special beading needs!
